Chairman's Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues.

It is with the utmost pleasure that I would like to cordially invite you to join us for our First Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgical Conference, which will take place in Gurugram, a city located in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). The conference will showcase our SSI Mantra System, that is very advanced technologically, along with being very affordable and accessible. The SSI Mantra System has been placed in over 20 hospitals across the country and abroad, and over 550 multispeciality robotic surgery cases have been done to date, including cardiac surgery.

The live surgeries will include General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Thoracic Surgery and Cardiac Surgery. These surgeries will be performed by our distinguished Faculty Members who will be using the SSI Mantra System to demonstrate its performance across a wide spectrum of surgical procedures.

There will be world renowned National and International Faculty who will participate not only moderating various live surgical cases, but also there will be numerous presentations from many surgeons from India who have used our system in specialties across the spectrum, including cardiac surgery.

Delhi NCR is a wonderful place to visit during this time of year. The weather is welcoming, offering pleasant temperatures during the day and cooler at night. There are many attractions that the city has to offer from ancient heritage sites, beautiful walking gardens and many modern museums for art and culture.

You will find this conference to be very productive and educational. A lot will be shared in relation to what we have been able to achieve with the Mantra System, and where we are heading in future. There are various divisions that will be showcased, including our virtual and mixed reality division, what we call SSI Maya. We have advanced at an astronomical rate whereby not only Tele-proctoring and Tele-surgery abilities will be discussed, but also how we will be able to launch robotic programmes utilising these ground-breaking technologies.

I also want to take this opportunity to appreciate our team in India. This Mantra System has been completely designed, manufactured and assembled in India, so it is truly India’s first indigenous surgical robotic system, now well popularised with the slogan, “Made in India, For The World”. It is a great accomplishment for the team in India, and we are extremely proud of them. Having demonstrated that this ambitious project was done successfully in India, we can now inspire many others to become involved in innovation because I think it is very important, that as end users, we participate in advancing the field of science as robotic surgery will be the future.

Our conference will be a wonderful opportunity for collaboration that will further enable us to advance the field of robotic surgery, globally.
